At Marmais, every candle starts with the creation of a handmade Jesmonite pot — a lightweight, sustainable material known for its durability and stone-like finish. Each vessel is individually mixed, tinted, and poured by hand, giving every piece a unique marbled pattern and smooth, matte texture.
Once cured and sealed, the pots are carefully prepared for wax pouring. We use a natural blend of rapeseed and coconut wax, poured in small batches to ensure a clean, even burn. This hands-on process results in one-of-a-kind candles that double as stylish, reusable containers — perfect for repurposing into plant pots, pen holders, or thoughtful keepsakes.
The meticulous process, from forming the bespoke vessel to carefully pouring the rapeseed and coconut wax, takes approximately two hours to create each unique candle.
